Before I go...

My day yesterday was spent packing.
you probably don't know this,
but, I hate packing.
however, unless I want to wear the same underwear for a year,
I gotta do it.

I am trying to pack everything I need for the next year.
I may come home in between,
or, I may not,
and just travel instead.
Either way, I want to limit the shopping i'll need to do as much as possible.
I will be on a very tight budget,
limited strictly to travel.

The kids kept me company.
They tried to blend in so that I would take them with me.
If only they knew how much I wish I could.

I confess- I started crying every time I looked at them,
and since they were right there,
I started to cry a lot.

Thankfully, they will be well taken care of.
The fiances family will be watching them while we are away.

We'll all be one, big happy family again one day...

No matter how I look at it,
leaving these two is one of the hardest things I'll ever do.
They are my babies...

I leave tomorrow at 6am.

While I get settled,
I am leaving you all with some awesome ladies who will be guest posting for me.

The line-up,

March 20th- Sally from Me+Life+Coffee (Netherlands)
March 21st- Megan from Across the Pond (Scotland)
March 22nd- Alex from ifs, ands & butts (Germany)
March 23rd- Alyx from Everyday is a New Adventure (Germany)
March 24th- Jenna from A Home Away From Home (South Africa)

I love every single one of these ladies.
If they can leave home,
go live in a different country,
 and survive,
then, so can I.

I am excited to hear about each of these ladies experiences. Having lived abroad myself - I am sure I can relate to some of their stories.

p.s. I hate packing too - I can't understand why I haven't been able to master it.

How exciting! I hate packing too. We're not doing such a hot job packing up our house for our move in early May, either. I can't imagine how hard it will be to leave your kitties for a year! Best wishes to you!

The hardest part is over as soon as you step on the plane :) And I know how hard it is to leave fur babies behind (my yellow lab is with my parents :/) but they will be in good hands and will be waiting for you when you get back :)

Can't wait for updates and thanks again for having me guest post - we all love you too!

Safe travels!
And don't worry... I cried leaving my cat at the airport with my mom. It was ridiculous, I was walking through the airport with my cat in a carrier, balling my eyes out. I'm sure people were a little confused.

I absolutely sobbed when I left for here and now I'm going to be an even worse wreck when I leave. And the budget… I know all about it but you'll do well I'm sure. It's actually cool to realize how much you can do and how happy you can be with practically no money.

I can't imagine how hard it must have been to leave your kitties!

You're going to have such an amazing experience. Please don't forget to keep us updated from abroad. Although you should always choose adventure before blogging!

Safe travels! Best of luck!
